Why Some Games Are Blacklisted From Sniping
Ever tried to snipe a player in a massive game and received a 'Game blacklisted' error? This isn't a bug; it's a necessary measure to ensure Bloxiana's snipe feature runs smoothly and fairly for everyone. This guide explains the technical reasons behind the blacklist.

The Core Reasons for Blacklisting
When a game has an exceptionally high number of active servers (often in the tens of thousands), it creates several critical problems for our system.
-
Slows Down Performance for Everyone: A single snipe attempt in a massive game can monopolize our snipe hosts. This creates a long queue and significantly slows down the process for all other users trying to snipe in different games.
-
Excessive Resource Consumption: Scanning thousands of servers takes up a huge amount of resources (CPU, memory) and risk the stability of the entire snipe host.
-
Drains Proxies Quickly: We use proxies to scan servers effectively. A single snipe in a blacklisted game can burn through a large number of the proxy bandwidth, impacting other bot features and increasing operational costs.
A Technical Example: The 'Grow a Garden' Test
To understand the limits, we ran multiple tests on popular, large-scale games. The results showed a clear technical barrier.
During tests with games like Grow a Garden, we found that the Roblox API consistently fails to return server data after checking around 2,750+ servers on average.
This means that even if we dedicated all resources to the scan, the bot would be physically unable to find a player beyond that point. Continuing the scan would be a complete waste of resources with no chance of success, all while delaying everyone else's snipe processes.
Our Goal: A Fair and Stable Sniping Experience
By blacklisting a small number of these exceptionally large games, we can ensure that the snipe feature remains fast, stable, and fair for the thousands of other games on Roblox. It's a necessary trade-off to provide a better and more reliable experience for the entire community.
If you're unsure whether a game is blacklisted, the bot will notify you immediately when you attempt to use the /snipe
command on it.
