My 10-Day Battle with a False Roblox Ban
Lately, I've had friends and supporters reach out to me on Discord because they received the same devastating ban I did back in April. They all ask the same question: "How did you get unbanned? Please help me." This article is my answer. I'm sharing my full story and the exact steps I took in hopes that it can help you navigate this stressful process.
The Shock of the Ban
It was early in the morning on April 19, 2025. I was in Roblox Studio working on a new fighting game that I'll be releasing in the future, making the crate system for in-game skins before deciding to take a nap around 1 AM. I woke up to a few pings from friends asking what happened to my account.
I checked, and my account was gone. Terminated for "creating or using an account to avoid an enforcement action taken against another account."

I was confused. The account I use for content creation is the only one I've had since I created it back in 2018. I've never had another account that got terminated. What made it even stranger was the "reviewed date" listed on the ban notice: "November 9, 2024" .. a date that had no relevance to when I was actually banned.

How These False Bans Can Happen
After waking up and being confused, I realized the ban was likely a false positive caused by association. There were three possibilities:
- Family: My cousin, who doesn't live with me, might have had their account terminated, and our accounts were linked when I visited and we played on the same Wi-Fi.
- Partners: My girlfriend's account could have been terminated and linked to mine, as we've used the same Wi-Fi and used her PC to play Roblox on my own account.
- Public Networks: I might have accidentally opened the Roblox app while connected to a public Wi-Fi network that a banned user had also used.
While I won't disclose the exact cause, these are all common scenarios that can lead to a false termination. I had no involvement in any actions that led to another account's termination, and I shouldn't have been punished for it. Roblox's system mistakenly flagged my one and only main account as a ban-evading alt.
Note: This guide is for those who, like me, were falsely banned. If you were knowingly evading a previous ban on an alt account, you may not have luck in getting your account back, but you can always try.
I also made a video explaining the situation in more detail:

How I Got Unbanned: The Step-by-Step Process
Here’s a breakdown of my 10-day journey to get my account back.
Step 1: The First Appeal
The moment I saw the ban, I went to the Roblox Support page to file my first appeal. For enforcement bans, appeals are usually handled by automated systems.
-
Bot Appeals: Choosing the first option, "I was wrongly moderated for my behavior or the behavior of an alternate account," sends your ticket directly to the bots.
I sent a simple, straightforward message similar to this:
Dear Roblox Moderation Team,
I’m writing to appeal my account ban, which I believe may have been a mistake. My sibling also uses the same computer and we share one Wi-Fi connection, so it’s possible their actions may have led to this issue.
I take Roblox’s rules seriously and did not intend to break any of them. Please consider reviewing my case, as I would really appreciate the chance to restore my account.
Thank you for your time. Sincerely, [Your Roblox Username]
Unsurprisingly, a few hours later, I received an automated rejection. This began a frustrating cycle of appealing and being rejected by the bots.

Step 2: Trying to Reach a Human
I also submitted an appeal using the third option, "I was wrongly moderated for other content I created," which sends your ticket to a human moderator to review.

However, the human support appeals was backlogged at the time due to recent mass-ban waves from "The Hunt" event and unauthorized chargebacks, a situation highlighted by bigger Roblox influencers like KreekCraft on Twitter/X.
Tip: When appealing to a human, send one ticket and be patient. Spamming can get your appeals ignored. If you haven't heard back in a week or two, it's reasonable to send a follow-up or to submit a new appeal ticket.
Step 3: Research, Perseverance, and a New Strategy
During this time, I was constantly on the /r/ROBLOXBans
subreddit, looking for advice and seeing how others were getting unbanned. While some suggested lying in the appeals, I stuck to my story because I knew I was not at fault.
Losing my account was not an option. With over $15,000 USD spent and countless hours of progress in games and my own development, I had too much to lose. So I kept trying.
After my appeals kept rejecting. I started using ChatGPT to rephrase my appeals. I gave it the same basic, truthful information but asked it to rewrite the message in different ways—always keeping it nice and simple. Short, clear messages seem to work best with the bot appeals system.
The Result
After I started using the rephrased appeals, the bots began responding much faster, sometimes within an hour. I continued this process, submitting a new appeal only after receiving a rejection from the previous one.

Then, finally, on Tuesday, April 29, after 10 days and over 25 appeal attempts, my account was restored. The relief was immense.

The rephrased message that got me unbanned:
Hi, I believe my account was deleted because of my sibling’s actions. We use the same Wi-Fi and sometimes the same device. I understand what they did was wrong, but I’m kindly asking if my account can be reinstated since I wasn’t involved.
It was a stressful experience, but perseverance paid off. If you find yourself in this situation, don't give up. Be persistent, be strategic, and hopefully, this guide helps you get your account back.
