Ever tried to snipe a player in a massive game and got a Game blacklisted error? This isn’t a bug. It’s a measure to keep Bloxiana’s snipe feature running smoothly and fairly for everyone. Here’s the reasoning behind the blacklist.
Game blacklisted error

The core reasons

When a game has an exceptionally high number of active servers (often in the tens of thousands), it creates several problems for our system:
  • It slows performance for everyone. A single snipe attempt in a massive game can monopolize our snipe hosts, creating a long queue and slowing down every other user trying to snipe in different games.
  • It consumes excessive resources. Scanning thousands of servers takes a huge amount of CPU and memory, and risks the stability of the entire snipe host.
  • It drains proxies quickly. We use proxies to scan servers. A single snipe in a blacklisted game can burn through a large amount of proxy bandwidth, hurting other bot features and raising operational costs.

A technical example: the “Grow a Garden” test

To understand the limits, we ran multiple tests on popular, large-scale games, and hit a clear technical barrier. During tests with games like Grow a Garden, we found that the Roblox API consistently fails to return server data after checking around 2,750 servers on average. Past that point the bot is physically unable to find a player, so continuing the scan would waste resources with no chance of success while delaying everyone else’s snipes.

Our goal: a fair and stable experience

By blacklisting a small number of these exceptionally large games, we keep the snipe feature fast, stable, and fair for the thousands of other games on Roblox. It’s a necessary trade-off for a more reliable experience across the whole community. If you’re unsure whether a game is blacklisted, the bot tells you right away when you try to use /snipe on it.
